Unlike mass-produced items, each of our handmade products, including our Artwork and Glassware, is unique — crafted by hand to evoke the vintage appeal of our inspiration pieces. Minor variations and imperfections are the hallmarks of a handmade product and should not be considered defects.
For artwork, expect a lightly-distressed finish, including some visible brushstrokes, “holidays,” surface variation, flaking or overbleeding. Artwork may differ from available samples and/or photographs. If multiple canvases will be displayed together, we encourage you to order them together to help minimize any noticeable variation.
As you may imagine, vintage products are in vintage condition. These items are likely to be worn, flawed, distressed, non-working, etc. We take pains to disclose and document in detail the condition of vintage items so customers can see exactly what they are buying. However, we are not appraisers or experts. Cottage Colony does not certify the authenticity or value of any item we sell. If you would like more information about a particular item available on the site prior to purchasing, feel free to contact us.
If any of your purchased items include an electronic proof, it will be emailed to you within approximately 10 business days of your order. Once you have reviewed the proof for accuracy, please reply with your approval as quickly as possible. Production of your item does not begin until we have received this approval. Delays in the proofing process may delay the completion date of your item. Electronic proofs are representations only; dimensions, color and spacing of the actual product may vary slightly.
If your a desired item does not include an electronic proof, but you would like to receive one prior to placing an order, you may purchase an electronic proof here.
Production times vary based upon the items ordered. Production may take longer during major holidays (Christmas, Valentine’s Day, etc.) and high-volume event seasons (graduations, weddings, etc.). Production time may also be effected by the availability of materials. As such, production times listed below are approximate and subject to change. If your order is needed by a certain date, please include this information when placing your order, or contact us prior to ordering to confirm that we can accommodate your needs. “Rush” orders may be available for an additional charge.

Custom Orders, including personalized or monogrammed items, are non-refundable and must be paid for in advance.
Certain items in our inventory, including personalized bags, accessories and jewelry, are drop-shipped to the purchaser directly from our monogrammer. As such, inventory for these items cannot be reflected in real-time on our website. There may be occassions when an item — particularly items on sale — are sold out for the season, or moved to backorder status, before inventory is updated on our website. If an item in your order is unavailable, we will notify you within 48 hours to give you an estimate of when the item will return to stock, if possible, and offer you a refund or exchange.
We are happy to accept your Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover via our secure checkout system. Prices are subject to change without notice.
Unless otherwise specified, Gift Certificates don’t expire and can be used for one or multiple orders until the original balance has been spent. Redemption codes for electronic Gift Certificates will be sent to the email address provided at checkout within 24 hours of purchase. Paper Gift Certificates will be sent via USPS within 3 business days. Redemption Codes are subject to verification
Applicable sales tax will be charged to all online orders with an Oklahoma delivery address.
We strive to keep shipping and handling charges as low as possible. Since many of our products are manufactured in other parts of the country, we have customized the shopping cart to group items into categories that reflect the most economical shipping method(s) based on each item’s shipping origin.
As a result, your checkout screen may feature multiple, itemized shipping charges and your order may be shipped in multiple packages, with different arrival dates.

Should you have any questions the shipping of your order, or if the shipping charges quoted on the checkout page seem unusually high, please email us.
If you would like to request a quote for expedited or international shipping for an additional fee, please email us.
We maintain rigorous quality standards for our products. However, as some of our items are shipped directly from the manufacturer to you, you may receive an item with a defect or one that has been damaged during shipment. If you receive a damaged or defective product, please save all packaging materials, including invoices or tags, and contact us within five (5) business days. We ask that you send us a few digital photographs to document the defect/damage. We will file a claim with the manufacturer or shipper and get a replacement item out to you as quickly as possible.
Custom Orders, including personalized or monogrammed items, are non-refundable. For other items, we accept returns or exchanges of new, intact items in their original packaging within thirty (30) days of purchase. Refunds do not apply to shipping fees or other charges. If you need to return or exchange an item, please email us.
We do our best to make sure the images on our website accurately represent the products we offer. However, products may differ slightly from available samples and/or photographs. Online images and electronic proofs are representations only; dimensions, color and spacing of the actual product may vary.
